Women in Agriculture for Sustainable Development (WASUDEV) is a dynamic, women-led organization committed to leveraging the power of agriculture as a catalyst for women's empowerment, community development, and sustainability. Rooted in a deep understanding of the challenges faced by women in rural Liberia, WASUDEV is dedicated to transforming these challenges into opportunities for growth and resilience.
WASUDEV stand united with women and girls to support them. We believe that “we are them” and express this by explicitly doing it in our work.
We stay true to what we stand for and that burning desire that brought us together to serve. We are honest in our dealings and uncompromising in our work. We do this effortlessly as it comes from the heart.
Our work is focused on improving the living conditions of women and girls by fostering human solidarity and promoting agribusiness development that drives prosperity. We believe that economic empowerment is essential for achieving peace and security, and we are committed to ensuring that women have a voice in decision-making processes at all levels. By working closely with local communities, we aim to create sustainable, thriving economies that uplift women, foster social cohesion, and build a brighter future for all.
Women are central players in our global food systems and there is a need we recognize that and provide them with the needed resources and support.
We started WASUDEV Food Venture as a means of sustaining our organization. Through this venture we are able to implement programs in the community that donors won't normally support. Funds raised goes towards:
